タイトルの「Four Sticks」は、演奏するときにドラムのジョン・ボーナムがスティックを4本持ったことからついたそうです。曲の内容は、新人類と旧人類というか、「古くさいあいつらとはやってらんねーぜ」という感じのテーマです。具体的な情景が描かれていないので、それ以上は、解釈しようがないですが。
