このSee the Lightという曲は、このアルバムの最後を飾るナンバーなわけですが、最初は8分の6拍子のちょっとアップテンポで始まって、「Where's the Sunshine!」というシャウトの後、ゆったりとしたボサノバ調に変わります。後半は、「Help Them See the Light」を繰り返し歌い上げるのですが、徐々に盛り上がっていき、最後の「See the Light」は感動的です。名曲ですね。「恵まれない環境にある者、より良き時代を目指す者に、光あれ」と歌う歌なわけですが、ほぼ讃美歌です。キリスト教というのはアメリカに連れてこられた黒人には異教な筈ですが、でも、それが心の支えになるんだな、と感じます。(2014年11月15日)
一か所誤訳を直しました。「Shine on sun, let your light guide a way」の部分です。あんまり恥ずかしいので、原訳はナシです。(2015年 3月28日)
一カ所訳詞漏れ(In your hands lies all control, Load)がありました。それから「I pray that you'll say well done」を訳し直しました。(2015年12月 5日)
