恐怖と苦痛からこの世を救うんだ
みんながまた自由だと感じられるようにするんだ、と
どうして、みんな自分の心の声に耳を傾けないんだ
そうすれば、みんながバラバラなんかじゃないのが分かるのに
だれもが幸せになるべきなんだ、だれもが歌を唄うべきなんだ
だって、僕らは、人生が素晴らしいことも
愛が平和をもたらす事も知っているのだから
彼は、山の家でそう語ってくれた
彼の知恵が見せてくれるのは、僕らは皆決してひとりぼっちになんかならないこと

「Demons and Wizards(悪魔と魔法使い)」のオープニングナンバーです。Wizardは、普通魔法使いと訳します。その語感からはたいていの日本人は「魔法で人をたぶらかす者」みたいなイメージを持っていると思います。ですが、「Wizard」の語感は、実はこれとは違って経験豊かで知識も豊富な老人で、仙人に近いイメージですかね。ここでは、「世界を導く者」と訳しました。
